Raw Goddess Tips For Summer Detox Cleansing

Summertime is the perfect season to do a complete overhaul on your health! The body requires less food, more liquids, and plenty of pure golden sunlight for added boosts of electromagnetic energy. Solar power of the Soul. The Sun has always been a symbol of strength and consciousness throughout history. In my Summer Solstice article, I explain the importance of this time for the ancient Egyptians as the Renewal of Spirit. This means many of us will be looking to improve our lives and better our health. Creating a detox program is becoming more and more important to our spiritual growth and personal fulfillment. I’ve been an organic raw vegan for many years and here are some of my favorite ways to cleanse.

1. Juicing

In my opinion, juicing is one of the easiest, quickest and most enjoyable ways to cleanse. There are many companies and juice bars around that supply raw organic juice so we have no excuses. Check your local area; get a juicer or a juicing buddy that you can team up with for more support and savings! There are so many benefits to adding fresh pressed juice to a daily or weekly regime it’s a no brainer. Rapid waste and weight loss, improved vision, higher energy levels, higher mineral absorption, more vitamins and a better night’s rest are just a few of the reasons why I will always recommend raw juicing. Some of my favorite ingredients for raw juices are: Carrot, cucumber, lemon, garlic, apple, beet, kale, ginger, pineapple, celery, pear, watermelon, and cilantro. Adding juice to your diet or doing a juice fast for at least 1-3 days is a great way to detox.

2. Organic Raw Vegan Lifestyle

Like juicing, organic raw food is packed with vitamins and the original sources of minerals we need to fully function. Heating food over 120 degrees destroys most of the enzymes and pure energy it contains. When we eat food raw, in its purest state, we see an increase in energy levels, mental clarity, colon health and you can eat as much as you want! Feels amazing!

3. Lemon Water and Sun Tea

Lemon has many amazing properties. Use fresh squeezed lemon juice to alkalize your food, water and body. Lemon also cleanses the pineal gland, the 3rd eye. Setting your lemon water and detox teas in the high noon sun are also an added extra bonus.

4. Himalayan Sea Salt Flush

Himalayan sea salt contains 80+ minerals and is the #1 salt recommended for salt water flushing. Try adding a teaspoon of pink Himalayan sea salt to a cup of warm water 1st thing in the morning. You’ll wanna follow up with a few more cups of water after that before eating anything to allow the salt and water to flush your entire digestive tract. This is a great way to start the day see amazing improvements in my health with this method. It’s especially good for opening up the lungs and healing allergy symptoms. This is a deep cleanse!

5. Gluten Free Diet

I swear wheat gluten is the devil. This one is almost not even up for debate! Due to genetic modification almost all grains are indigestible and are usually the source of problems in regards to our health! Wheat is the main ingredient that is causing these mysterious auto immune diseases, allergies, behavioral disorders, depression and obesity. When we give up the wheat, we feel a whole lot better. Listen to your body and practice a gluten free lifestyle as much as possible. It is amazing! My favorite gluten free options are: raw nuts and seeds, quinoa, chickpeas, sweet potatoes, potatoes, black rice, amaranth, yucca, cassava, seaweed, mushrooms, and oats.

6. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar dates back to ancient Egyptian culture for everything under the Sun. From sterilizing instruments used in surgery to healing internally and externally, apple cider vinegar was a staple back then and still is now. Get the 100% organic apple cider vinegar. It contains all the minerals and healing power we need. Great for weight loss and controlling allergies. You can also use it in a spiritual bath.

7. Garlic

Garlic is nature’s perfect antibiotic. Garlic is great for the immune system and total body cleansing. Garlic helps in removing mercury from the system. Raw garlic is best. I like to chew it up and quickly chase with warm water. It’s spicy hot! You can do this at night if you are worried about your breath. Chewing parsley or mint also lemon can help with the smell if you need garlic in the day. You can add garlic to your juice or smoothies as well. This is also a good one for allergy symptoms. Helps in grounding root chakra energy. It can be potent so only 1-2 cloves a day are recommended.

8. Sun Bathing

The Sun provides one of the only natural sources of vitamin D, which is essential for bone health and fighting cancer. These rays of light also cleanse the blood by increasing oxygen in the body. You can use Sun therapy to lower blood pressure and cure depression. The sun also strengthens the immune system. Just 20 minutes preferably around high noon is a great way to start receiving its awesome healing power.

9. Skin Brushing

Our skin is the largest organ we have and dry skin brushing is a great way to stimulate the nerves for a total body detox! You can find a variety of skin brushes online at your local health food stores. Use your skin brush on dry skin after bathing. Skin brushing is also great for getting rid of cellulite! It’s a natural stress reliever, helps kidney function and digestion, a simply marvelous addition to any detox program.

10. A Gallon a Day Water Challenge

We must remember we are made up of 75% water and when we need a shift in health, water is essential! Add lemon for vitamins, taste and extra alkalizing effects. Most of the time, when we crave food all, we really need is water. My dreams are more in-depth when I drink up!

11. Spiritual Baths

Spiritual baths are cleansing and healing on many levels. Our connection to the ocean and rebirth is very deep and can provide the answers to many problems by way of detoxing through water. There are many forms of spiritual baths and I recommend starting with sea salt, your favorite pure essential oils, apple cider vinegar, honey, goats’ milk, lemons, chamomile flowers, roses, your favorite stones and crystals, Florida water, candles, incense, music and prayers.

12. Watermelon Fast

I highly recommend a watermelon fast asap! I should be doing one of my own very soon. I did 10 full consecutive days of just watermelon a few years back for the Summer Solstice. Life Changing. The purified water content in watermelon is so invigorating. I swear it will make you look and feel a few years younger after about a week of this cleanse! You will need about 1 watermelon a day. Eat as much of the watermelon as you like and as often as you wish. Eat the seeds! Yes chew them up. It will only add to your daily mineral intake and it gently sweeps your colon. This is super amazing for women needing to repair the womb. Men also can rebuild chi energy with watermelon after having sex. Watermelon is excellent for weight loss. Try it!

*I would also add getting seasonal colonics to the list. I didn’t because my detox cleansing tips are all things you can do before and after a colonic to maintain it. I know some people don’t believe in colonics, but I have seen phenomenal results. I prefer the open system colonics for the extra privacy. Music and sound therapy is another good one for psychic and aura healing. I see I’m going to have to do a Part 2! And they will definitely be on the list!

  1. Thanks for sharing this post. I’d love to try a different cleansing option this summer. I normally follow a Raw Til 4, where you consume raw fruits and vegetables until 4PM (or dinner), then consume a high carb cooked meal (typically cooked veggies w/ potatoes, quinoa, couscous, rice, etc.).
